Bernese Mountain Dog

Pampered Paws has fallen in love with the Bernese Mountain Dog which is a large breed with a GREAT temperament. They are a loyal family dog and love to play with the kids. They are affectionate, faithful, stable, and intelligent. They love to be encouraged with praise and treats. They bond quickly with their people and want to be with them whenever possible. As happy social dogs they get along well with other pets such as cats, horses, etc. Overall, they are stable in temperament, patient, and loving.

The Bernese Mountain Dog is slow to mature, and may display puppy-like tendencies until 11⁄2 years of age. Their coats are very soft and they have no trouble handling our winters.
